| subject: | Vile feminist scumbag Patricia Hewitt appoints 4 more people |
However from their own site... http://www.eoc.org.uk/cseng/news/08_mar_international_womens_day.asp http://www.eoc.org.uk/cseng/research/facts_about_gb_2005.pdf "Differences between men and women's experiences start at school. Although girls now outperform boys in numbers of GCSES, A-Levels etc, there are clear differences in the subjects taken." Yet curiously it then fails to conclude, that "Women still earn less, despite massive legislative propping up, and gaining more qualifications. Thus we must conclude that the subjects girls study en masse, are completely worthless in today's society." Why do they fail to conclude that? Could it be their budget? Or are the EOC just incapable of doing anything because there's not enough men working for the organisation? Oh look! Hairdressers, and Travel Services are almost all women. (Plus a few gay men.) IT, Engineering, Construction, Motor Repairs, Plumbing, and Electrotechnical are almost all men. Which do you need more, electricity, water, heating, ambulances, and a roof over your head, or a pleasant shopping experience while booking your flight to the Maldives? Oh look! Higher education! "Subjects allied to medicine, ie, nursing. 81% women. Languages 71% women. Computer Science 80% Men, Engineering & Tech 85% Men." Does anyone else think that the EOC should by now have spotted the key problem? Oh look! Employees by occupation "Personal Service. 84% women. Skilled trades 92% men." Why haven't the EOC concluded the obvious. Oh look! Employment by sector. "Social work. 80% Women. Education 72% women. (Remember, those who can do.) Manufacturing 75% men. Transport, Storage and Power 76% men. Energy and Power 77% men. Aggriculture 79% men. Construction 90% men." So if you need to live, heat, eat, drive, keep, or light anything, you need men. If you need to talk about your imaginary problems, then you can have men too, but there's just millions of women out there waiting on any reason to natter. "The housewives on the bus go yakkity yakkity yak." Oh. Look. Full time women earn 11.21 per hour, and men 13.73, women therefore earn 82% per hour of men, (though obviously men do ten hours a week over time that women don't, so this more than makes up for this.) Also part time women earn 8.19 per hour, and men 9.36. YET THIS DOESN'T MAKE A 12.5% pay gap as you'd expect by actually looking at the mathematics. INSTEAD this makes a 40% pay gap. Is anyone down there awake at the EOC? In individual income per week 16 and over... Women earn 381 (for an average 34.9 hour week remember, not mentioned anywhere) Men earn 515 (for an average 45.1 hours.) This gives 10.91 per hour for women, and 11.42 for men. Suddenly the pay gap doesn't seem to large does it?
