Compiled Paradox Code
Quick note to let you all know that TurboPAL v1.00a is now out. The new
manual is definitely better than the old one. Dynamic linking modules are
supported. Hope for report, form, and graph changes on the fly renewed in the
manual. They did a good job in removing ambiguities from the manual. They
provided a few methods of changing the basic configuration of compiled
applications and switches for the EXE to control it. (*looks impressive*)
The PAL source code is required to compile, you can't use the Paradox
libraries. TurboPAL, when compiling PAL scripts, creates a file with the same
name but with an .OB extension instead. This OB file can then be sent to
client sites so they can compile "their" application WITHOUT the req'd source
code. It does require that the developer and client have TurboPAL tho...
Some of the problems were explained, and their solution(s) provided. I think
they have shown that they "listen" to their users.
Further TurboPAL testing in progress! Should have a distributable EXE
within a week if all goes well!
