Quite frankly, I am not even certain that the requirement for a permit
doesn't contravene the second amendment - and if we accede to a permit
process, we are opening the door for still further erosion of our rights.
What difference does the course make anyhow? The folks you have to fear
won't
take the course, don't own legan weapons, and don't give a pluperfect damn
what
the laws say or do not say. If you were on a bus with me, you'd never know if
I were armed or not - and I prefer it that way, as do you, if you think about
it. I used to think that open carry was the way to go - but too many goblins
would target that person first. Consider the Long Island Railroad fiasco -
the guy doing the shooting reloaded several times. had there been one weapon
on that train other than the weapon he held, the outcome would probably have
changed drastically. As it was, occurring in the heart of no-gun country, he
was assured of no resistance. The concealed carry makes preying on people
dangerous to the predators.
