as i understand it, IMP-MAIL automatically executes HPT... apparently
there's no provision for something in DOSBOX to fire off script or binary
on the linux side of the fence... we do this all the time on OS/2 with
"start" and "HSTART" (and HWAIT if we need to wait for
the started thing to finish before moving on) starting DOS stuff from the
OS/2 side and starting OS/2 stuff from the DOS side... VMs are different in
this respect... i've never run DOSBOX but it seems like at least an
emulation or a minimal VM... i don't think it is as deep as KVM/QEMU...
