Not me.  I was relating my own experience and which parent of mine gave me
the most or better warnings.  It was my mom mostly.

That should be true across the board, woman or man, however it isn't always
practical to follow it to the letter.  I imagine if it comes down to where
it isn't practical then the best course of action is to avoid those people,
man or woman, rather then have to deal with them, if that is even possible.
 As far as marriage was concerned, it was never really an issue in the only
marriage I personally was involved in.  Mistreatment and disrespect weren't
the failure issues on either of our parts.

Understood, but I was talking in general terms.  I was led to believe that
ALL women were like that and had to learn from reality that it isn't true. 
Is it?  From my experience I'd say it wasn't a given about women in
general.

I saw a thingy on the news about that.  Apparently younger women these days
still prefer 'older' men as a rule, 'older' being a relative term.  Most of
the 30-ish more experienced women they talked to thought the idea of a
younger man sounds better then it actually is.  Most of them claimed they
found men a bit older then themselves to be more attractive.

I think it is more peer pressure then anything, but for sure hormones are
rearing their ugly heads at that time more then later in life.  Self
control is a battle and it doesn't help when your peers are claiming that
they're getting what you wish you were getting and then the BS starts
flowing.

Right.  I get the impression that more and more these days the girls are
applying the additional peer pressure.  Given the increase in teen
pregnancies there might be truth to that.
