Some apps will screw with an install process if they are open. I had a hell of a time installing Soldier of Fortune until it was discovered the software for my UPS was demanding something from the CPU, probably holding the serial port open. Installs would get to the wizard and freeze. Firewall could easily do it also. I'd reset it to the defaults and carefull observe the new alerts as they occur. You'll prolly discover what the problem is in no time! DB * RM 1.3 03089 * ... It works! Now, if only I could remember what I did. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: FONiX Info Systems * Berkshire UK * www.fonix.org (2:252/171) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 252/171 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
