It is possible, with some doors / BBSes. There's no standard method in QWK,
which is one reason why the built-in Add/Drop functionality in MultiMail is
limited to just that. I don't know about Wildcat offhand, sorry. (Hmm...  
mayble SLMR knows, since it has the same author as the original Wildcat QWK
door... no, it's not giving me an option to set the message number.) You
could try adding a number (or a negative number, like "-50" to include the
last 50 messages) after "ADD " in the subject of the control message, but I
wouldn't bet on it working.

BTW, that much, MultiMail can do automatically -- just 'S'ubscribe or
'U'nsubscribe from the Area list.
