On his death bed Brendan Short uttered Netcomm V34+ 28.8 roadstar to all.....

BS> I am purchasing one of these babies.. Is there anything I should know

I wouldn't buy one unless you want to use the special Fax/voice
switching functions that knows the difference between Fax or
voice calls only enabling the modem to pick up the phone if its a
data call or fax call, great for a mini BBS that uses a voice line.
However the CPS rates aren't all that exciting, average CPS's are
about 3000cps below normal 28.8bps performance, connects average
at 26400. But don't let that put you off, I don't want to be the
only idiot here to buy a Roadster :).
