Women In IT Jobs Women represent nearly half the workers in the U.S. -- 46.6 
percent. However, they always have been underrepresented in I.T. Even more 
discouraging is the fact that the percentage of women working in I.T. jobs 
is not growing but dropping. [

Although many might wish it were different, the fact is that women still 
shoulder the burden of domestic responsibilities.

It is always worth remembering that when the family commitments of men and 
women are lumped together for comparison purposes, the fact that there are 
many single mothers out there rarely gets a mention.

By omitting this fact, researchers can blame men (statistically speaking) 
for failing to commit more time to their children - children who, in fact, 
they do not have!
