I'm a VMWare person, too - but have done testing with VirtualBox. I have
been able to get my eCS (with JFS file system) working in both VMWare and
VirtualBox.

I setup a "VMWare Team" for my BBS recently. It boots eCS 4.52
first (since all the drive shares for the BBS are on there), has a 2
minnute delay, then boots my XP VM that has D'Bridge and BinkD running on
it.
