Hi ALL !

I don't know about Compaqs, but mixing PC DOS HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE with
OpenDOS (instead of the OpenDOS EMM386.EXE) proved more stable on my system.
Novell did a lot of work on DR DOS to make it more MS-DOS like so you may be
able to mix in a few Compaq-specific drivers. Make a bootable disk with your
current configuration files and an editor on it in case you manage to make
the system unbootable.
On slower computers OpenDOS's ability to switch Ensemble in and out of
memory when launching and returning from DOS programs speeds things up
quite a bit. Less important on fast computers with lots of RAM though as
Ensemble closes down and restarts almost as quickly as switching.
