For a long time, most Germans thought I was Danish.

When I've had a few scoops or get involved in an argument, I lapse into
"hessische Babble", which is very close to the Hunsrck dialect
so well known in the German-speaking world from "Heimat" and
"Die zweite Heimat". Schabbach was a clone of Langenhain.

"Phil - du babblest wieder."

Clarissa Lichtblau - Salome Kammer - yup, someone to die for.  Hermann was a prat.

I get interesting responses from both Austrians (Sd-Tyrol included) and
Swiss when they finally realize I'm not German.
