Lots of parts of the world have gone thru the industrial revolution already
and the change was that the CO2 content in our atmosphere increase by
0.002%

There is no need to worry about CO2 emissions, because either we don't emit
enough to make a difference or because the earth has no problem
compensating for all but a tiny fragment of it. There is a need to worry
about mercury and other forms of pollution getting into the environment
because of china's non-existent controls on this stuff. The earth has no
way to compensate for highly toxic pollution.
