Yes, I quite think that more obsercations lead to more questions, lead
to more theories, lead to more testing, lead to more developments..and
hopefully as long as there is an interest, a driving force, and the
ability to understand and apply your findings that science and technology
can develop so much that it seems indiscernable from magic. And effective
worthwhile speedy interstellar travel sure seems like magic to our
understanding! :) As does dimensional travel, time travel, telepathy,
etc.
