-=> Quoting Jean Parrot to Nancy Backus on 09-19-09 09:45 <=- JP> Nancy, a fine sunny morning to you. NB>> True, and usually the last digit is from the time of day, not the year, NB>> so the digit isn't consistently the same one for the same year. I saw NB>> that Dale had a fuller explanation on why the double digit. JP> This is all new to me, I thought that it rolled over the 99 from JP> 1999, to 100 and that it added the digit then as it was coded for two JP> digits not three. Where it got it was all lost to me. Look at the Date: line. There is the mm-dd-yy and then next to that, the time, in hh:mm. So when the yy became yyy (100 instead of 99) the extra digit pushed the time down the line an extra character, which didn't show up when you were doing the message, but when you closed everything up, there wasn't really room on that line for that, so the last digit of the time went to the beginning of the To: area. JP> Are we not having such fine WX lately, for the last 5 weeks ! Very nice, if a little cool... :) But we are to have some nice weather this week too, they tell us, and a bit warmer as well... I hope it isn't an early "Indian Summer", though... I like having that in late October or early November... and besides, Autumn hasn't even quite officially started yet even... :) ttyl neb ... Try not to stare. Please. We feel weird enough as it is. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.20 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: ::The Holodeck BBS:: telnet//:holodeckbbs.homeip.net (1:261/1381) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/200 331 14/250 18/200 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 SEEN-BY: 140/1 222/2 226/0 236/150 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 SEEN-BY: 261/1406 1410 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/104 260 267 SEEN-BY: 633/285 690/682 734 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 SEEN-BY: 5030/1256 @PATH: 261/1381 38 633/260 267 |
