Upon further reflection, I see no reason Bush would avoid this fight.
First, he's veto-proof; there aren't enough votes to override. Second, it
gives him a great chance to bash Democrats. Third, why would he back down?
He thinks he was chosen by God to fight this Holy War and with God on his
side, he doesn't need anyone else.
