SC>> When I first started BBSing I did messages online and it took SC>> forever and I know I didn't think about what I was writing like SC>> you can do offline. MK> Me too, even on the internet. The first BBS I ran across was on an MK> experimental network and it was all online stuff. Offline messaging MK> happened many years later. A great idea methinks. For me it is a great idea because I only have one phone line and nobody can get through. Then again, since I got the internet, there were times I went online just so I wouldn't have to hear the phone ring and if someone said they called I had a valid excuse for not being able to take their call. :-) SC>> "Patience is a virtue possess it if you can: seldom in a woman, SC>> never in a man." Author unknown to me. MK> :-) I know what that means although I think I am probably more MK> patient then most women I've ever met. Usually when a woman is MK> patient it means she isn't interested. Where did you get that idea about women? I'm a pretty patient person but not for lack of interest. I just don't see the point of getting upset over things. Life is too short for that. SC>> Just about every company uses Microsoft office products so I SC>> might as well learn what I can. It will be worth it. MK> Right. Looking back at the computery stuff I got exposed to the above MK> simply wasn't true and probably never will be. I ran into all the MK> highend stuff and never saw any MS stuff ever. It all depends on what MK> one does. I have never worked for any company around here that didn't have MS some type of Windows and other MS programs. I noticed they mostly use NT or Windows 2000, although some have moved to XP. In the job ads they require Office, Access, Excel and some other MS programs knowledge. I can't get away from it.
