Keith, at 20:26 on Jul 18 1996, you wrote to All... KF> hello All, I have just bought a Dynalink V.34+ US Robotics compatable KF> modem, and was wondering if any body could give me a good init string to go KF> with it?? AT&F1&K0&W once, then ATZ thereafter. Unfortunately, you'll have to disable its buggy BTLZ data compression code with &K0, otherwise during transfers, the modem will hang for periods of up to 20-30 seconds at a time. Alternatively, you can selectively enable MNP-4 error correction and MNP-5 data compression, by initialising your modem with AT&F1&K1S27=32 instead.
