    Thanks for trying, Jasen. For the record, on XP Home you right click on
the dosprompt icon, and select properties, then layout, and change it from
132 colums and 300 lines to the old MSDOS 80x25.  It works. Just like that.
XP Home doesn't seem to have pifed. Right clicking the icon for the
application creates the .pif file.

    You need that configuration for the Freepascal IDE and it's handy for
other editors, too. Now to find the IDE for Digital Mars C. :-)

    I finally had to RTFM to find that out. Just as well I had the manual. :-)
