Hi Robin,
 > Don't I know! I'm glad my days of that are over. I used to have to
 > take off everything I could from the sewing machine when Deborah was
RP> I know it was a bother for you, but that is one-smart-little girl!
RP> :) (All grown up now.)
She likes to think she's all grown up. At 16, she has the attitude that
she can do any and everything. Well, she needs to find out that life is
a lot different after age 16.
It was a bother removing all the parts but I'd rather be safe, than
sorry. I'd have likely found them in the fish tank or some other place
if I hadn't taken them off. At least I knew where they were then. (G)
RP> I thought PA was alright until he got a computer and began copying
RP> heavily from other works to pad his newer stuff. He was a better
I've not read but one of his. The girls like his puns, tho they claim
not to like mine.
RP> fiction & fantasy, but not as much as I used to. My favorite authors
RP> are Orson Scott Card, David Brin, Marian Zimmer Bradley, and some of
I like James Mitchner, Tom Clancy and (some of) Barbara Taylor Bradford.
RP> perfect for getting my mood back up, unless I'm down about things like
 RP> missing college. :)
Any chance you will get back to college soon? I know it will take time
after the move but hopefully something will work out. Does Jesse go to
a full day kindergarten? Look into some community center classes--or
theach some. That would keep you busy!
RP> Arthur's a freshman in high school. They mix classes quite a bit,
RP> so he's only in one class with freshmen only. That's good for his ego
RP> - he looks college age.
The fun of high school! How big is the one he goes to? The one out
here has about 2600 students; I think they need to start a second one.
Two smaller ones would be much better than one big one.
RP> My brothers will take good care of him. I also suspect that
RP> they'll introduce him to partying, though they deny that goal. That's
RP> why I worry a bit about the negative possibilities.
Well, pray. I'll do likewise. He will be at an easily influenced age
but hopefully he's been well grounded in what's right & wrong to know
enough to stay out of trouble.
 > Thanks. They are really appreciating the fact that mom sews now. The
 > personal touches seem to make whatever the occasion so much nicer.
RP> I agree, particularly when it is your mother's work.
Yes, my mom's sewing ability is about zilch. Her sister made my dress.
Last night I did most of one bride's maids dress. It went together
quite well. I just have the sleeves and drape to do, then hem it after
I get the horsehair braid & the girl gets her shoes. Rachel didn't
realise the dress went together so fast; she went out for a while and
when she came back, I had done all that I was going to for the night.
(I had done a bit before, but not much that was obvious.)
RP> The last few days are the hardest to wait. I'm glad he's finally
 RP> coming home to you!
You and me both! You've been thru it so you know how I'm feeling. I
really appreciate the support you've given me thru this, believe me!
Catch you later,
Ruth
