Yes but only one of us was correct in so thinking.

Again you are wrong.

Real world communism and perfect implementations of communism are the same
thing, because it takes perfect people (which don't exist) to work even
reasonably well. The reason history shows its impossible to have a good
implementation of communism is because it is entirely based upon the rather
simplistic and pitifully stupid idea that everyone will bust their butts
and work as hard and as creatively as God gave them skill and talent all
for the common good, as opposed to for their personal self-interest and the
self-interest of their family. People bust their butts to improve their
own life and the lives of their children, but NEVER for the common good.
This is the reason that has never been and never will be a good
implementation of communism.

Now you are backing way off from communism, and working in some pretty good
entertainment, like when you mention the failed and failing European models
as being anything worth noting or repeating.
I don't remember advocating laize faire capitalism, as capitalism in its purest form.

The rest of that sentence is always the same. "....and if I have to
make everyone in the country equally poor to do it, so be it."

This statement says more than anything you've written that you have no idea
capitalism works. What you have written is the viewpoint of someone who
has never worked to build their own wealth or wealth across generations
within their family. In the USA and in more free societies than the USA,
if there were any, there is absolutely no excuse for a failure to build
trans-generational wealth. Any family, no matter what their education,
status, etc. has the ability to work hard and provide greater opportunities
for their children than they themselves had. As a result that family's
succeeding generations each have more wealth and opportunity than their
prior generation. Show me a family that remains completely poor and
uneducated generation after generation, and I'll show you a family that is
quite dysfunctional in their behavior patterns. The lot of such families
in life is NOT the result of capitalism, but the result of that family's
lack of at least normal intelligence; that family's poor spending and life
decisions; that family's laziness, women who are nothing more than baby
machines for sperm donors they hardly knew and men who are nothing more
than animals planting seed before they move on without any care whatsoever
or the children they father.
I'm not saying that every poor person is stupid or lazy. Anyone can be
temporarily poor or poor for a generation. I'm saying every poor family
that fails in this country to have succeeding generations be more educated
and more prosperous than the prior generation is a family that has one or
more of the above problems and afflictions that result from the
consequences of their OWN BEHAVIORAL CHOICES.
Poverty *IS* a result of communism, and always will be for the reasons I
stated above, but in a free society (which means a capitalist society)
poverty *IS* a mental/behavioral disorder that results from the poor life,
spending, and other choices of those who are and remain poor generation
after generation.
Gary
I didn't have a free ride to anything in life, and I resent those who do
not appreciate what this country offers people who are willing to sacrifice
and work hard with bullshit statements like those who have a free ride to
power and wealth. The only people who make statements like that are those
who've been too lazy or to stupid in their life choices to better
themselves from the station in life where they started or were born super
rich and don't think money or hard work is important because they've always
had money and never have never worked hard to earn any.
