Hi, Mark-

MH> After going Internet only, I had no need for either. I had packets going
MH> UUEncode/Decoded via SMTP to my uplink using a custom WWIV utility and
MH> Frank Reid's PPP Project.

For quite a while at the beginning, I was pulling mail via POTS since it
was a local call for me. I think it was in 1998 that I started to pull
packets via the Internet when I registered Internet Rex. I've pretty much
just handled mail that way since then. I've had POTS on and off but now
it's just too damned expensive. Up here, it's $40 a month for a
"barebones" POTS line so I got rid of it.

I did use email transfer for a very long time though. I didn't really
start using BinkD until around 2004 if memory serves.

Later,
Sean
