Of course it does, but less energy than the other methods. Basically, with
antigravity, you're letting the planet do the work of pushing the material
away.

That might work if the substance you're looking for is concentrated in one
location, but less effective if what you want is in the parts-per-billion

throughout the mantle.

They're plentiful here, but we can't speak for other star systems.
