Has anyone mentioned DNS in this thread?

Some in the EU would like to have their own GPS *and* their own DNS
servers. Suggestions have been made that US interests might like to hand
over control of at least the DNS part of the Internet to some
"fairer" system. FWIW I regard this suggestion as ludicrous.
