subject: Epilepsy

I have a friend at work, whom I have just discovered has Epilepsy.
She is very skinny, black, and gets so cold she has to wear a sweater
when
the day crew goes home and the air conditioning grows chiller (we work swing
shift, and the decline in body count makes the air cooler).
She is victim to occasional migraines, too. She has rare grand mal
seizure, and relatively frequent petite mal seizures. She has never had a
grand
mal seizure at work, although she had one this weekend. She told me that she
has had the petite mals at work, but I guess they are so unobtrusive I just
never saw her have one, and it wasn't until I asked about the reported
eizure
over the weekend that I found out that she had epilepsy.
The medicines that they have perscribed are worse than the seizures, so
she doesn't take them. She takes a one a day type vitamin, and also a one a
day
type of herbal supplement (something available thru an Avon or MLM operation,
I
get the impression).
Anyway, she is interested in helpful supplemental suggestions. I am
thinking some magnesium and maybe some chromium picantolate, and maybe some
selenium, would help. Appreciate all other suggestions.
