I am not sure we're talking about the same thing.  What I am thinking is just
using a script as a filter to facillitate dynamic html's without the need for a
http server.  Thus no need for eRuby or any of it's dependancies.  Furthermore if
strictly bash scripted then it should work with any distribution regardless of
[lack of] dependancy checking.

No modules here, other then kernel ones which aren't the same thing.  I am
doing my best to escape the need for dependancy checking.

Speaking of Perl, it varies from distribution to distribution and thus perl
scripts aren't always compatible across the linux board.  As for Ruby, I don't
use anything that claims to be object orientated.  I am too old fashioned.
