I've been using modems since about 1988 (only a newcomer), and have
probably been dealing with Telecom/Telstra seriously about modems since
getting a V.23bis modem.

No, that's why I suggest Adelaide people call 1100 in the afternoons and
ask for the technician "Bruce G".

03 9282 0909 is the Folds-B "Testfax Professional" number.

As usual, set set number for your fax modem to report to the other end
correctly in international format, and send a single page only in fine mode
with a lot of detail.

BTW, there is still talk of a MOLDS (Modem Online Diagnostic Service) -
I'll ask Malcolm Moore at Telstra sometime again about it.
