After several people asked for the AM list archives on CD, and some even
followed up with more requests, I asked Andy Steere, the archive
administrator about the idea. As a service to the list, he has graciously
taken the time to produce a CD, that he is making available. If you are
interested in getting the archives on CD, please contact Andy directly.

Andy writes:

"I was finally successful in creating a CD of the archives. The CD is
in Joliet format, because of the long filenames, and will only be readable
on a PC (or PC-emulator).   The CD has an html file to access the various
months
and each month has the sorted indexes similar to the web version.  There is
still no built-in search engine, but I am researching ways to add this
feature.

"I'd be willing to offer them at $10 each, including first-class
shipping anywhere in the USA, mainly to cover expenses.   I can accept
PayPal, or
certified check / money order.   I might be able to ship out of the
country... but need to figure out what all is involved in that before
offering that service..
