That is where it pays to be stubborn, like myself.  I have never let
anything get in the way of going towards my goals.  Sure, there are bumps
along the way.  Quiting isn't in my vocabulary, except when it came to
smoking.  :)

I have done both used and new.  The one advantage I like about buying new
is that I know the entire history of the car, down to ever minor detail.  I
keep very detailed logs of everything I do to my vehicles, date, mileage,
etc.  

Otherwise, I agree - it saves money buying used.  I just buy new so seldom,
it doesn't seem like much of an issue in my case.
