JJ> Talk seems to be increasing of a possible Clinton
JJ> resignation if the current allegations surrounding his sex
JJ> scandal prove true.
I'm not so sure that I want to give OwlGore 2 years of
practice Presidency prior to the Democratic convention.
JJ> My question is this: if there is strong evidence that he
JJ> is guilty of obstruction of justice, witness tampering,
JJ> suborning of perjury, etc., and does in fact resign.... are
JJ> those charges for which he could be prosecuted criminally
JJ> after he leaves office?
Most definitely - that's why Ford pardoned Nixon; to
preclude the spectacle of a former President ending up in
court as a criminal defendant.
The question is: will OwlGore risk his chance at
re-election by pardoning the Dufus?
JJ> (My opinion is that the guy is a sexual predator, a
JJ> pathological liar, a crook, and should be behind bars).
Can't disagree there.
JJ> This also raises in my mind that if he were to resign
JJ> whether Gore would pardon him, as Gerald Ford did for Nixon
JJ> following his resignation.
Would *you* leave yourself open to felony charges, trusting
OwlGore to risk his reelection chances by pardoning you?
JJ> Interesting points to ponder.
Indeed.
... Somebody else is going to pay for it??? I'll have two. -- Democrat
