After keying all the cars in the lot, Rich had this to say to Bill Arlofski:
RW> *** Quoting Bill Arlofski to All dated 11-12-96 ***
>> I was planning on upgrading my work machine from OS/2 Warp Connect
>> v3.0 to Warp 4.0, but I have heard that there were (are?) some

RW> Bill,
RW> What 'compatibility' problems have you heard??
Not sure of the specifics, just that someone had mentioned there were some
problems. Since it took a little FIGHTING to get my Warp 3.0 workstation to
network properly to our company's 3.12 and 4.0 Novell servers, I figured I'd
better be DAMNED sure all was OK in networking land with Merlin before making
the upgrade.
RW> I have 4.0 able to see my 3.12 server fine.. Took a bit of head
RW> scratchin, but I got it.. Read / write access.. I've gota hit the
RW> book stores to try to find a book for Warps network stuff, the O/L
RW> doc's leave A LOT to be desired in my HO..  :}
My point exactly. If'n the upgrade to warp 4.0 does not go smoothly, then
there I sit, with a practically useless machine, with just about no where to
turn, but a TAPE RESTORE procedure. :(
All the OS/2 info ASS-U-MEs that the install goes well in all cases. :^)
