hi i have a hays accura 14.4 + fax 14.4 modem that i have a problem with.
seems i can't connect with some bbs's all it does is screech and then 
disconnect. i have it set at 8 N 1 i have changed the init string with no 
change. the only way it will connect is if i set the speed at 2400 baud
but then the bbs disconnects me because they don't bother with 2400 baud

it's to slow. i don't know the make of their modems but they are using 28.8 
modems. any idea whats the matter ???? and how to fix it ????
