Hi! Marty,

On 05 Jun 07 02:57, you wrote to me:

No, the packet is =from= your system going =to= Daryl's system. Does Daryl
know he might be on the receiving end of some raw mail packets?

What program produced it? That product code (00FE) isn't FastEcho.

In any case, it might be worth your while actually setting a 'temporary
outbound' directory path in your config as there's a good chance FastEcho
is using the iRex queue as one. (Same goes for the other 'inbound' types
as well, just so that they have some sort of values better than null.)

Whoops. From lurking in the Win95 echo, I've been led to believe that
Win2K has the absolute minimum support for DOS apps, and, a person has to
know how to get it to perform properly (and that's not me, BTW). You've
picked one of the very worst versions of Windows to attempt running a
DOS-based node on, Marty.

My wife's machine (XP Pro) takes a month of Sundays to just do simple stuff
with my BBS/mailer configs.  It's a real PITA and I very rarely use it;
'blue moon' stuff.

I recommend you hunt down a copy of Win98se.

Cheers,
Paul.

... I tried an internal modem, once, but it hurt when I walked.
