Hard to say at this stage of the game.  Speaking for myself, I'll use this
latest partition to build a ttylinux and see if it'll work on ye ol' 486 before
committing to anything.  Offhand I think it has a good chance of survival
although I noticed earlier that I screwed up a couple of noncritical libraries
but have redone those successfully since.  If this works half as good as I think
it will then I'll bloat the damn thing up with X next and see where that goes.
