It is a large time span, but dependant on one's desire to use the
facilities when they become available, the delay may not be so bad.

I can see your point here, and I have little doubt that I will probably
want to use some of these features some time in the future when they are
available, but for now, I am happy to wait.

I'm one of these people who doesn't rush to try out a new service orfeature
as soon as it becomes available. In fact, I haven't even used the fax
facilities in any of my modems. And how long have fax modems been around?
