Hi Todd, as you were just saying about Censorship....
TJ> -> I think that we need to punish the abusers of information, not the
TJ> -> producers of it. If a book tells how to build a bomb and someone
TJ> -> does it, killing other people, the guilty party is the one who
TJ> -> abused the information by building the bomb and using it in an
TJ> -> illegal manner.
TJ> .
TJ> .
TJ> I agree, many people tend to place the blame in the wrong place.
TJ> Sure that guy writing the bomb book may be wierd... but.. its his
TJ> right by the constitution to free speech. Its the person who did
TJ> the killing who is at fault. Just like something similar that
TJ> happened.... if any of you are car enthusiasts... you may know of
TJ> something called "Quick Sliver" by Armor All, this stuff is REALLY
TJ> awsome stuff used for cleaning car rims. The stuff is perfect, but
TJ> obviously poisonous. But, some STUPID 7 year old drank a whole
TJ> bottle of that stuff in Canada... so of course.. whose fault is it?
TJ> NOOOOOOOOOO its not the parents fault or the childs fault.. its
TJ> Armor All's fault.. of course... so they no longer sell that
TJ> product because the woman sued. Just like that Mc. Donalds thing...
TJ> stupid as S**T!!!! This woman spilled hot coffee on herself in her
TJ> own car.. after being away from Mikcy D's for about 4 minutes.. she
TJ> burned herself and sued Mc. Donalds for 3 million dollars. What is
TJ> this world comming to?
No, she didn't. She sued for medical recovery. Probably would have
been about 200,000. McDonald's got a hair up their butt and went to
court thinking that they had a slam dunk. The jury awarded her those
damages, partially due to McDonald's attitude toward the common man.
