Hamish, at 15:00 on Jul 23 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... HM> Well, at least we're getting some decent statistics at last. If that's normal for you, how much do you want for your house? :) HM> Symbol rate = 3200 HM> The bandwidth and echo aren't too good, I got up to 3825Hz and 1ms to my HM> university, which is in the city (20km) while Paul is out this side of HM> town, quite a bit closer. Dunno, I'd be very interested to see how a Courier performs from your site. With those levels and bandwidth, you should be seeing a 3429 symbol rate. HM> Unfortunately those stats don't seem to include the connect speed, which HM> was 31200 RX / 26400 TX. Haven't had 33.6 yet. And with 3200 symbol rate, you won't see 33k6 anyway, as that requires the 3429 symbol rate. 3:640/305 is a good test, as Dave can just about spit on his exchange from his back door, and even with my poor lines, I'm getting 33k6 connects with his Courier (usually 33600/31200).
