Except you defined murder only as the intentional killing of a human.
Nothing about self defense etc. That's why I mentioned unlawful.

Did the Germans ever pass such a law or did they just do it ?

It appears that the definition of lynching that I use is different from
yours ( and apparently yours is the correct one). I have always seen
lynching as something that could include murder but would not automatically
include a murder - IE Beating etc but could stop short of murder.
