Scandisk in DOS 6.22 leaves the display hardware set to use the blink bit as
intense background. I have had the problem occur here and that is usually 
hat
seems to cause it. I do not know how to actually keep the problem from
re-occuring without rebooting right after running Scandisk.
Or, alternatively, switch back to a pre-VGA display adapter and monitor. :-)
