I remember, MANY more years ago than I want to think about, to the days of
the Sports Post (Wellington equivalent to the old 8 O'Clock) where
cartoonist Nevile (or is it now Sir Nevile?) Lodge did a full-page cartoon
of all the fielding positions, giving an artist's impression of the mental
image, conjured up by the sometimes unfortunate names of the positions -
square leg, deep fine leg, silly point, cover point, slips, and so on.
Real gut-bustingly funny stuff.
