Well, I tend to stick at around 100M, just to be safe, keeping Murphy in mind

Boot partions can be shared, but, that is another can of worms, I'd rather
leave that, until, I have all other bases covered, then maybe, ... just maybe,
I'd try that, same for root ... , definetly seperate root partions, if they
are going to be on the HDD at the same time.
