| subject: | ATM Diagonal correction for atmospheric aberation? |
From: "Chuck Taylor" To: "ATM Archives" Reply-To: "Chuck Taylor" A little while ago on SAA, Roland Christen mentioned building eyepieces with a tiltable element to correct for the chromatic smear when viewing an object low on the horizon. Would you get the same correction with a refractor by taking the diagonal and setting a set screw at one end to slightly tilt the mirror so as to have the same effect as slightly tilting the eyepiece?
