My experience with these sneakers is that they usually can't keep the
messages lined up correctly with the authors and wind up assigning quotes to
all of the wrong people in great bursts of archival chaos. Bad news, Day,
(grin); you might be surpised one day to hear some of your immortal words
quoted as coming from Frank Masingill and some of MY undying prose attributed
to YOU. Believe me, I've seen it happen numerous times. Most of us are
straightforward and don't keep records. We just like a glass of wine, a
cigar and some good CIVILIZED conversation!! We could, of course, work out a
system to really confuse the lurker by assigning numbers to our thoughts as
per the old story of the jokes told in the exclusive club for the gentry!! I
could utter a profound "33" and you could grunt, "Yes and 85" and the weasel
peeping from his hole could faithfully record the numbers!!
Sincerely,
Frank
