   I live in Kansas City, MO, and all of my birds are inside, in the basement 
with timer lights on them.  It seems to be okay for them.  I lived in Los 
Angeles before moving here, and they had a large "sunroom" where they were 
kept.  Moving here, I had to figure out another way of providing them with 
he
alloted amount of sunlight even in the winter months.
