Hi Tom, as you were just saying about Censorship....
TR> CH> Tom, he raises what seem to be interesting points; but I think that
to
TR> CH> someone else teaching them the Bible might be considered blasphemy;
TR> CH> but to the same person teaching someone to build a bomb would still
be
TR> CH> teaching them to be a terrorist. I think mostly the missing element
TR> CH> in this type of issue is common sense.
TR>
TR> There will always be plenty of folks who don't fit the norms of
TR> our society. There will always be folks who commit horrendous acts
TR> that defy common sense or logic. This should be an accepted premise
TR> in any society. We will never be free of the Dammer's, Casey's,
TR> Bundy's, etc. It should not create a large concern that these folks
TR> don't fit the norms of our society. We certainly shouldn't change
TR> our norms to make their actions and beliefs acceptable.
Absolutely agreed.
TR> I'm not sure
TR> what percentage would consider teaching the Bible to be blasphemy,
TR> but I wouldn't be interested in accepting this as a norm for our
TR> society, and I doubt that it ever will be accepted as a norm for our
TR> society.
I am an agnostic and I can't see the Bible as blasphemy ever being
accepted in our society.
