All my "Made in China" ratchets have broken and been thrown in
the trash where they belong.  Several cost me some skin on my knuckles
after they broke.  All my original Craftsman stuff still works perfectly.  

I recently bought a few higher end air ratchets (one by Ingersoll Rand and
the other from Chicago Pneumatic).  I just checked and the Ingersoll Rand
was "Designed in the USA" but "Assembled in China". 
The Ingersoll Rand goes up to 600 pounds of torque.  

I guess time will tell on how the "Assembled in China" works out..
