The last "Grand Recycle" event we had was hosted by the local Apple store. It opened at 8:30 am. By 9:00am, there was a line of cars over 3/4 mile long waiting to drive through - all idling their engines :-). Talk about a non-sequitor. After only 30 minutes, they had amassed a wall of gear perhaps 50-feet long, 5 feet high and 5-6 feet deep. It was coming at such a high rate, and being thrown in waiting tractor-trailers at such a high rate, that a collector wouldn't have stood a chance. Really depressing to think about the amount of classic gear that must have passed through. Frankly, I didn't even bother asking about poking around.
