I had heard of Fagles translation; sounds promising. Given the 
example of the remake of the titanic movie, I look forward to 
a well done screenplay of Fagles' interpretation. 
 
What with the increasing capability of virtual reality, I hope 
to see a rendition of the tale with the landscape of that area 
faithfully restored. 
 
Likewise, Troy itself could be rendered.  This leaves only the 
representations of the actors on the film, which again would be 
much improved over the last version which was just a vehicle for 
the hollywood stars of the 1950s. 
 
Although, I spoze that it might do better as a DVD miniseries 
which could include multi-media annotation to try to communicate 
the wide range of subtlety in the characterization and culture.
