I don't have a solution to the problem. I think perhaps there should be
different kinds of marriage contracts and the bulk of them should not
constitute state-recognized marriage as it is meant today.

I'm not certain that this is workable. Lawyers might be able to come up
with all sorts of problems with such an approach. But I'd at least like to
see it seriously considered.
