The point of my message to you is that techniques and sources of information
should NOT be made public. If they are, they will begin to vanish gradually.
Illegal collection of information, while often useful (or so I'm told; I
don't have access to anything like that) is a source of all sorts of
purely practical problems. It's never a good idea to do that.
I don't agree that the records should be sealed if the Bparent doesn`t want
to be found. In an ideal world -- or a rational one -- each State would
have a third-party contact system. If a Bparent or adoptee didn't want to
be found, they'd just say that when they were contacted. It's my experience
that only the totally insensitive won't express some curiosity; most folks
will ask how the other party is doing, at least.
What did you do to require your surgery? (There's a close friend of mine
who seems to have taken up getting surgery as a hobby; it's not really
working out for him...)
Take care. And remember: all those tales about nurses are TRUE.
... A chance to cut is a chance to cure.
